Cash Advances In Commerce

By Kenneth Snodin There are many kinds of cash advances available in the marketplace. These advances are designed to allow individuals to pay their bills until they receive a paycheck. Payday loans are readily available, as are business loans and other loans, which impose a fee. Many people take advantage of these loans, including restaurant owners. Businesses must be able to take in at least $2000 per month, and a credit vendor must accept the money. This means that credit card receipts must be produced before a loan is considered. Business owners can apply for business cash loans if they have receivables from credit card purchases. If the business is not going well, it may still qualify for a loan, and some lenders will offer as much as $100,000. One of the major drawbacks for some businesses is the need to transfer cash from one bank account to another. Delays may occur during this process, which results in banking overdraft charges. A bank overdraft can cost more than the fees imposed on payday loans, although business payday loans are different than the common cash advance. Taking a business loan through banking institutions can be difficult, so some businesses prefer to take out cash advance loans. With these loans, cash is delivered quickly if borrowers meet the lenders qualifications. Business fast cash loans are optional loans that are typically considered in cases of emergency. These loans are available for making renovations, marketing, expanding, and paying inventory costs as well. Businesses can take payday loans to remodel, expand their business, or to pay marketing expenses. Repayment agreements on advance cash loans for businesses vary from lender to lender. Once the parties agree to a loan, a percentage of the receipts generated from credit cards will be deducted periodically. When the balance of the receipts reaches zero on the loan, the lender stops debiting the payments electronically, giving business owners the option of making payments on another loan. In contrast to regular payday loans, commerce loans require as many as ten days for approval. They dont include any fixed repayment measures and have no fixed payment arrangements. The loan processing is computerized, so once the loan application is accepted, the business owner can take the commission. Commissions are based on fixed percentages. Some business lenders will offer to take a percentage of the receipts generated from credit cards, while others will offer fast acceptance of applications, no fixed repayment amounts, guarantees on hard assets, and as much as $250,000 toward the business that is owned. Good applicants for cash business loans are hotel proprietors, bar owners, and restaurant owners, but almost any type of business that has the capacity to take credit card payments may apply for a business loan. Business owners that are considering taking out a loan should review all contracts, fees, and agreements before signing on with any lender. Wedding Cake Glossary of Terms

By Eriani Doyel If you will be getting married, you may want to be familiar with wedding cake terms before you visit the baker or confectioner who is making your cake. Here are some of the more common wedding cake terms and their meanings: Wedding Cake Parts and Shapes: Tier: This is one level of the cake-(i.e. a 3 tier cake.) Layer: A horizontal piece of the cake. Often the wedding cake layers are baked in separate pans and then one or more are combined to make a tier. Round: A cylinder shaped cake. This is the most traditional shape for a wedding cake. Square: A more modern shape for a cake-very geometrical-tiers can be placed at odd angles for an even more modern touch. Hexagon: A six-sided wedding cake can be very trendy and fashionable. Scalloped: The edges of the tiers are shaped much like flower petals for a very casual look. Molded: The cake is shaped like a football or some other object-this is often used for the grooms cake. Frosting and Filling Terms: Fondant: A sheet like sugar dough that hardens over time and is good for an outdoor wedding cake because it will not melt. It is very smooth in texture and can be made in one of three forms: rolled into sheets, poured over the top, or sculpted into shapes. Buttercream: The traditional wedding cake favorite made of butter, cream, and eggs. It is very soft and easy to flavor with chocolate, fruit or liquor, but should only be used at indoor events. Ganache: A chocolate, butter and cream sauce or filling that will melt in the heat. Chocopan: This is basically a chocolate version of fondant-but better tasting. Marzipan: This almond based substance can be used as a filling or to make colored shapes to put on the cake. Royal Icing: A very hard icing that is used for decorations that need to be solid-such as lace. Decorations: Basket weave: This looks like a wicker basket. Swiss dotted: Random dots are placed all over the cake. Piping: Lines are made on the cake with a pastry bag and tip. Pulled or Spun Sugar: Sugar is cooked until it is liquid and then shaped into bows, ribbons or thin strands. This must be done on site because it will not transport. Refined by Fire: Why Job Became So Rich

By Anthony Obey There are a lot of principles, keys, steps, and how tos of life that all seek to provide the blueprint to blessed and successful living. Everyone is looking for that magic pill that will cure this or fix that. Here in the book of Job we have an example of a man who was immensely wealthy, powerful, respected, and famous. Not only did he possess earthly wealth but he was Gods prized possession; meaning God was the One who gave him the success. Why Job? What made him so special? You may want to know how you can receive this kind of blessing in your life. If you want the Job blessing, read on. God is a holy God and He calls us to be holy as He is holy. We see in the first few verses of the book of Job what the key to his blessed life were; holiness, reverential fear of God, and devotion to God. Back before the Ten Commandments and the Laws, Job was a living example of a righteous man who hid the Laws of God within his heart. Because of this, God was able to bless Job and put a hedge of protection around his blessings. God wants to do the same thing in all of our lives, but if we cant handle the blessings God gives, He wont give them. It does no good to reward a child whos been acting badly all week with a movie and pizza party. The kid will only get worse and abuse the privileges he gets. God is our Father and He wants us to become great people and use His blessings for good; so why would He reward bad actions with increased blessings? But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33. This is exactly the promise that we see fulfilled in the life of Job. Job woke up every morning and sought Gods kingdom. Verse 5 says that he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each himself and each one of his children just in case they may have sinned against God. He took from his wealth and made an offering to the Lord from whom his blessings flowed. If we want to walk in the blessings of Job then we have got to put God first in our lives, we need to do it everyday, and we need to do it with a spirit of reverence, fear, and humility before God. When I really started getting serious about honoring God so that I could have a better relationship with Him, my wife and I started doing what we felt God telling us to do in our spirit; which was to devote 2 hours to Him every morning. Now granted, God had been telling us to do that for about 2 years. But we finally got to the point where God was more important than some extra sleep or extra work. God showed us that it was truly Him that had been giving us the success in our work up to that point and He told us that He had so much more to give, but we could only receive it if we learned to put Him first. You see, my wife and I can tend to be workaholics because we are business owners and we love our work; yet its God who gives us the work and the love for it. We dont want to grow in business and start forgetting to be as passionate about God or fall into sin because our hearts are lukewarm, so we finally made the commitment to devote ourselves to God first thing every morning, pray during the day, pray at night, and listen to the bible on tape as we go to sleep at night. I want to walk in Spirit and in Truth as God calls us to, so we began to constantly infiltrate our day and minds with the Word and devotion so our minds wouldnt get off track. I share this with you because I just now understand that people dont just become great men and women of God by osmosis. God doesnt just choose who will be great and who Hes going to suppress in mediocrity. Many are called but few are chosen because only a few people make the commitment to devote themselves to God, day, after day, after day! Its not easy and God doesnt just dump the huge blessings on you because you do one thing right. Right actions become righteous living because of the time factor. Day in and day out, you have to choose to live the life of a devoted child of God if you want Gods greatest blessings. I used to wonder how amazing David must have been to have been such a great figure in the bible and be a man after Gods own heart. I start really getting a picture of Davids successes when I read through the Psalms. David didnt win battle after battle and create a huge kingdom because he was so smart; he did it on his knees. He sought God constantly in every decision; when he was victorious and when he was in trouble. His devotion to God is what made him great. We too can possess the permanent blessings that Job had and win great favor with God by devoting each and every day to the Lord. This doesnt mean that well never slip up or that were going to do everything right, but it does mean that in our heart and actions, we make a point to give our best and our first to God. Notary Public Stamps

By Kent Pinkerton Clerical supplies such as notary stamps, record books, handbooks and embossing seals are available for notaries to notarize various legal documents. A notary public stamp is an exclusive property of a notary public. It should be kept under the direct and exclusive supervision of the notary. A notary public seal, usually of the rubber stamp type, is affixed to all notarized paper documents in photographically reproducible black ink. Notary public stamps normally contain the full legal name of the notary, the title ?Notary Public including the State?, the commission number, and the date of expiration of the commission. In some states, there is a line with the county in which the notary is qualified. This information is usually seen right after the state. The rubber stamp seal is the official sign for use on a paper document. An impression type seal is also used in addition to the rubber stamp seal. However, the rules do not permit to use the impression type seal only. A notary public whose official seal is lost, stolen, or found to be in control of another person is required to immediately inform the Department of State or the Governor. Any individual who illegally possesses a notary public official stamp or any papers relating to notarial deeds is punishable. In general, states do not provide notary public stamps. They issue notary commission certificates, to be taken to a rubber stamp company as proof of commission. The certificate permits the seller to take the order for a notary public stamp. To obtain a notary public stamp, first check with your bonding company that normally makes the stamps. If you cannot find one, the yellow pages dealing with stamps, seals, notary supplies and stationery stores can help. A notary stamp cannot be ordered until the notary public certificate is accepted. Food Addiction – Is the Amount You Eat a Problem?

By David Beart After spending 9 long hours at work, Janet is frazzled. After picking her kids up from day care and throwing something together for dinner, shes depressed and angry at the turn her life has taken. It seems as if every day has turned into one long series of work and errands, and once evening sets in so does her depression. Once the kids are finally off to bed she heads for the kitchen to relax and have a snack. Time slips by quickly, and she spends the next 2 hours eating junk food she keeps hidden in the pantry. Once shed done, just like every night, she feels sick with guilt. She knows she has a problem but she cant seem to stop. Every month she gains more and more weight, but eating is the only time she feels better. Situations just like this happen every day all across the country. Although food addiction is much more common than 30 years ago, its an epidemic thats also killing us. The numbers are so high theyre almost mind-numbing. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 65% of Americans are overweight or obese, and our children are facing the same epidemic. Over 17% of kids today are overweight, and that number is climbing higher each year. For the first time in 100 years life expectancy is predicted to go down, thanks in large part to Americas food addiction and the various health complications that come with it. Diabetes, cancer, hypertension, heart disease, and more than 25 other conditions have been linked to obesity. Were literally eating ourselves to death, and bringing our kids along with us. We shouldnt be surprised, really. Americans work more hours than any other industrialized nation. Were stressed out, time starved, and watching our health and vacation benefits slide down the tube. With as little time as most people have these days, companies make it almost too easy to self-medicate with food. Drive-thrus are everywhere and meals-in-a-box fill the grocery store shelves, laden with empty calories and tasty goodness. We watch over 40,000 commercials per year, and many of those are for fast food restaurants, soft drinks, and snacks. Since so many of us are turning to food to combat our stress, it may be hard to recognize a food addiction versus normal snacking. Compulsive overeaters often lose control when theyre eating, going on binges that can last hours. The average food addict is 60% overweight, and practices no form of weight-control. If youre worried you might be a compulsive overeater, asking yourself the following questions will help clarify the problem: Have I tried and failed to control my eating before? Do I binge-eat, especially when Im feeling angry or sad? Do I hide food? Do feel guilty when Im done eating? Do I think about eating even when Im not hungry? Do I eat until I feel sick? A yes to any of these questions can point to the more serious problem of food addiction, especially if you are overweight or obese. Nowhere in the country is food addiction more wide-spread than in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and West Virginia. According to the CDC, these 3 states now have the highest incidents of obesity in the country with more than 30% prevalence in the population. States such as Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, and 10 others arent far behind. The problem, while bad for us, is even worse for our children. The CDC estimates that instances of childhood obesity have tripled in the past 30 years in school-aged children. They are also less likely to have a healthy adulthood. Another study shows overweight or obese children have an 80% likelihood of being obese once they reach 25. While the numbers are sobering, there are proactive steps you can take if you, your child, or someone you know is addicted to food. Joining a support group such as Overeaters Anonymous or Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous will put you in touch with others who are going through the same thing. Having someone to talk to is especially important when youre on the path to recovery. You might also consider seeking one-on-one therapy. Understanding the emotional triggers to overeating is the first step to understanding the problem. Another important step you can take is to get active. Instead of thinking about food, doing something active instead will keep your attention off eating. Many people have the mistaken idea that exercise has to be sweaty and intense. Doctors stress that this isnt so. Activity of any kind will offer health benefits and burn calories. Things like housework, gardening, and yard work, often looked at as chores and many times are outsourced to service providers, are great ways to get moving. So canceling your cleaning service will not only save you money but will also help you get in shape. Its also important to limit the amount of soda and sugar laden foods you keep in the house. If your kids come home to an empty house theyll reach for these first, so make sure they have a wide variety of healthier choices. That limitation will also work for you. If there is nothing sugary in the house to binge on, youre less likely to do it. Lots of families today spend hours in front of the TV, either watching mindlessly or playing video games. Limit you and your childs screen time to an hour per day or less. If youre worried about them watching while youre at work, make it impossible by taking the power cords with you everyday. They cant watch if the TV wont work. Instead of watching, play games, read, or go outside and play. While it may seem overwhelming at first, positive changes to food addiction can be made. Combating a sedentary lifestyle and increasing awareness about food choices will help both you and your children live a longer, healthier life. Plan A Wedding Ceremony That Is As Unique As You Are

By Susan Ryder When I meet with a couple planning to get married, one of the first things I try to emphasize is that the wedding ceremony will be more special if they work with me to make it a celebration of their unique relationship. All weddings include I Dos (also known as The Marriage Questions), Vows, ring exchanges, and a kiss, but there are ways to vary all of these elements, and add more, to create a service that suits you as specifically a couple. For instance, I suggest that couples find special readings to intersperse throughout the ceremony. It might be a favorite Scripture reading or two, which if fine, but I also encourage couples to find favorite poems or blessings or prayers that can be shared as well. One couple particularly loved the wording on a greeting card he gave her for their engagement, so I read that as part of the service. Others love the Apache Wedding Blessing as a closing prayer, while still others have asked for Emily Dickinson or Mary Oliver poems to be read, or something from Gibrans The Prophet either On Marriage or On Children. Many couples cant think of something off the tops of their heads when I first meet with them, so I ask them to be on the lookout for something in the intervening weeks between our visits. There are wonderful wedding anthologies out there that you can look through as well as internet wedding sites with suggestions as well. The point is this if there is a particular piece of literature or writing you love, ask the Officiant to include it in your ceremony, as a way of making the service special to you as a couple. And if you cant think of something right off hand, do some looking around. When its all over, you will be glad to have something read at your ceremony that fits you as a couple, or has special meaning for you. What about the vows? Well, there certainly are different ways you can exchange your I Dos and Vows. You can use traditional forms, which your Officiant will have copies of, or you can use more modern versions of them, which you can find online or in books if the person doing your ceremony doesnt have them available. And of course you can even write your own. Ive had couples look over several different versions of Marriage Questions and Vows, and end up combing variations of them for their own ceremony. Whatever you choose, you dont have to just go with the garden variety traditional vows, unless they are special to you in and of themselves. Go for something special. I always recommend either repeating your vows after the Officiant prompts you, or reading them yourselves from a written card and try to discourage memorization since the stress of a wedding can lead to sudden lapses in memory. Same goes for the exchange of rings. Its fine to go the traditional route (with this ring, I thee wed) but there are many variations Ive used throughout the years. One of the neatest practices Ive begun in recent years is to invite 4-6 people who are close to the couple to come forward for a blessing of the rings before they are exchanged. The loved ones form a circle around the couple and take the rings in their own hands, offering a silent blessing over the rings on behalf of the couple before passing them on to the next person in the circle. Then when the rings return to me, I invite the couple to exchange the rings using whatever wording theyve chosen. This works especially well when a couple is bringing two families of children together, letting the children take part by blessing the rings as a newly formed family. What else can you include to make your wedding special? I always encourage music to be part of the ceremony if that is to your tastes. If you dont have access to a soloist or string quartet, and cousin Lenny really doesnt sing as well as Aunt Marge thinks he does dont be afraid to use recorded music during your ceremony. Most weddings have processional and recessional music, but you dont need to limit yourselves to those pieces. If you have songs you both love, consider interspersing them throughout your ceremony as well. Without music, most weddings only last 15-20 minutes, and thats fine. But if you want to stretch it out a bit longer, consider adding music to the program. Most Officiants will offer some sort of Charge to the Couple or Blessing thats something we usually write after getting to know a couple. Its our chance to offer words of wisdom about life and marriage, using what we know of a couple from our time spent together in pre-marital counseling. I will usually let a couple know what I am thinking of saying, in general, while reassuring them I wont share personal information they might not want shared (even if it IS a good story!) So make sure to ask your Officiant about the charge or blessing and if there are funny anecdotes youve shared in counseling that youd prefer not be shared in front of Grandma, make sure to let your Officiant know that ahead of time! Maybe you want to include children in the service somehow, or your parents. Perhaps you want to light the Unity Candle at some point, or share a blessing together as a newly married couple. Whatever it is, its your wedding, and the ideas Ive shared are just a few of the ones Ive gathered over the years just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to planning your ceremony. I hope it gets you thinking about how you can make your own ceremony special, and maybe spark some ideas of your own. Whatever occurs to you, share it with your Officiant to see if he/she is willing to do something you have in mind.
